Hello all, match report for games played 20/2/2018.
firstly an apology to you all, for not doing these more regularly, but work and family commitments have been a factor.
This week we start with division 1, at the Maelgwyn who played host to the Penrhyn Arms, and it was the maelgwyn that prevailed in a very close looking game 6-4, some notables on the night with Jim Dorembos, Pete Mutch from the hosts and Mark Williams from the Arms all hitting maximums.
Next game is the RAOB ‘B’ taking on a strong Conway Comrades, always a good match and so it proved, with the B getting the win 7-3, some good games here, and closer than the score suggests.
Last game for this division sees Mike Castro and his Neville B team take on the RAOB ‘A’, another close one as the last match was a 5-5. With the buffs hanging on. This match was again a close one with the buffs edging the game 6-4, a couple of notables, with Dave Chapman hitting a 19 dart leg against the throw and Carl Elston hitting a 17 dart last leg against the same fellow.
On to division 2
Starting with the Old Hall hosting a strong Neville A, and strength won the night with the Neville lads running out 8-2 winners on the night, but not withstanding a brilliant 15 dart leg from Alun Williams of the Old Hall.
Second game is the Bron v Maelgwyn B, with the home team running out 7-3 winners on the night.
Last but not least we turn our attention to the Round the board league,
starting with the Comrades B gaining a 9-0 win over the ex servicemans as the away team couldn’t fulfil the fixture, hope all is ok with their team.
next up is the townhouse v white house with the away team coming away with an 8-2 win.
a big win for the Llandudno athletic guys against the pen y bryn running out 8-1 winners, with a note for Sian Owen getting a win for the away side.
And to round off this report its the Alex Pen v Cricket club, a good close game which went to the very last game with the Alex edging the decider and winning 5-4.
My player of the week and to receive a half eaten packet of munchies goes to Alun Williams of the Old Hall for his 15 dart leg. Well done that man.
as always thanks to all those that manage to read this, remember all achievements on the night will be mentioned IF it is noted on the back of the scorecard, a bit of recognition can go a long way towards any players confidence.
